Joseph Conrad war ein polnisch-britischer Schriftsteller. Er wurde als Jozef Teodor Nalecz Konrad Korzeniowski am 3. Dezember 1857 in Berdytschiw, Russisches Kaiserreich, heute Ukraine geboren und verstarb am 3. August 1924 in Bishopsbourne, Großbritannien.
