여전히 불안하고 떨린다 광주리에 널려진 체념한 듯 햇볕을 쐬는 시래기가 무방비 상태인 것이 나와 같은 처지다 단어 하나하나 마음 한 줄 한 줄 생각의 조각조각들이 제대로 드러난 시집을 들고 사람들이 보고 있는 넓은 광장에 얼굴 빨개진 채로 서 있다 숨을 곳이 없다 물러설 틈도 없다 언뜻 교정(校庭)이 떠오르고 강의실 커다란 통유리에 비친 풋풋한 청춘이 배시시 웃는다 일삼아 내리까지 구석구석 걸어 보고 싶다는 생각이 든다 무심한 듯 열심히 습관인 듯 최선을 다해 버티고 살아온 하루하루가 나의 생각보다 더 많은 양의 실패와 실수와 후회로 얼룩이 묻었더라도 낱장으로 흩어져 있던 그 하루하루가 한 권의 책으로 만나 뭉쳐진 느낌이다 온전하지도 완전하지도 않지만 한 발 움직였다는 것이 기쁘고 감사하다 격려의 마음 각양각색의 모습으로 수고한 착한 손길 보이지 않게 수고한 얼굴들 많이 고맙다
