About the author
박재용은 과학저술가이자 커뮤니케이터. 대학을 들어갈 땐 물리를 전공하고자 했으나 중간에 그만둔 후 여러 다른 길을 걷다가 다시 과학과 만났다. 과학과 과학을 만들어낸 역사, 그리고 사회에 대한 이야기에 주된 관심을 가지고 글을 쓰고, 강연을 하고 있다. EBS 다큐프라임 “생명, 40억 년의 비밀” 시리즈의 『멸종』, 『짝짓기』, 『경계』를 대표 집필했고, 『나의 첫 번째 과학 공부』를 썼다. 공저로는 “10월의 하늘 특강” 시리즈가 있다. 서울시립과학관에서 “부모가 먼저 배우는 과학” 강연을 하고 있으며, “생명 진화 40억년의 비밀”, “과학, 인문에 묻다”, “수식이 있는 물리 강의”, “과학사 강의” 등의 강연을 했다.
