It's great that at last someone - a professor - translate this masterpiece
to english. But it bothers me a lot that the translator white wash most of
the characters name. Translating the nickname is Ok, but please don't
translate Guo Xiaotian to Skyforce Guo :(

I actually have not buy this book but have read the original. Calling it Chinese Lord of the rings is totally, I mean TOTALLY wrong because it is different genre altogether. Imagine fantasy enthusiast buying this book thinking there will be Chinese elfs and Chinese ors and Chinese wizards and got disappointed and being lied to? I know it isn't fair that I put a 1 star like this but I just need to voice out my frustration.

Jin Yong is one of the world's bestselling writers, with more than 300 million of his works sold (not including unknown numbers of bootleg copies). He is beloved across China for his wuxia ("martial arts and chivalry) novels, which have given rise to film, television, comic book and video game adaptations. He was awarded an O.B.E. in 1981, and is one of two authors on the MacLehose list who have asteroids named in their honour (the other being Georges Perec).
