I had no idea what to expect from Nick and Charlotte’s story but it was such a wonderful surprise. Their connection felt immediate and while fake relationship stories tend to have characters dancing around each other, this didn’t feel that way. I can’t remember the last time I was so completely lost in a story but Nick and Charlotte kept me captivated. I love this series so much. I can’t wait for more!

ARC for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars Seeking Happily Ever After is book 8 in the Ever After series by Elena Aitken and another great addition to this series. Nick and Charlotte enter into a fake engagement so he can start the proceedings to adopt his baby girl, Amelia who was given to him and told he was the father…he suspected that is not true but he has fallen in love with baby Amelia and knowing her biological mother’s history he wants to raise her. So much is happening…but can Nick help Charlotte heal from her past abusive relationship, get permanent custody of his daughter, and turn their fake engagement into a HEA…only time will tell. Keep reading and you will find out the answers….

I have truly loved this series, and this story was just as wonderful. Nick Newton, is a billionaire whose life did an about face when a woman brought him a baby claiming she was his. He has come to love this little girl and will do everything to keep her safe , especially when the custody of little darling is jeopardized. Charlotte Davis has returned home after an abusive relationship. She’s befriended Nick and his daughter and when a social worker comes to check on the little family, she fibs and says she’s Nick’s fiancee. This is the beginning of an arrangement that will change everyone’s life. But what happens when individuals from their past come to endanger their union and their lives? Once again, the author delivers a touching , at times heartbreaking as well as heartwarming story. Another winner in this already enchanting series. I was entrusted a copy of this book.
