This is the first story in the "Ice Age Shifters" series. This on is about Jackie and Trevor. Jackie, pregnant with a half shifter, has just escaped a pack intent on selling her baby. She is on the run and rescued by trucker Trevor. He is a shifter and an outcast in a lot of ways but such a gentleman. The attraction between them is instant. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I thought the narration was good and really brought the story and characters to life.

Shifter Mate Magic is a great introduction to a new to me author. I really like Carol's writing style, the pacing of Jackie & Trevor was wonderful, It moves quickly because it's a short and hooked me in from the start. The characters and the storyline is very well written filled with shifters, drama, danger, steam and everything a reader could love. I recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed!. I've been searching high and low for paranormal sci-fi novels with or without romance that feature diverse characters. I did a Google search and came across this series. It's an indescribable feeling to feel seen while reading your favorite genre. I love the storylines and how I think I know what will happen next and am often extremely wrong.
