저자 - 이효석 소설가 호는 가산(可山), 필명은 아세아(亞細亞). 1907년 강원도 평창 출생 1942년 뇌막염으로 요절. 그의 작품은 대체로 이국을 동경하는 엑조티시즘과 자연을 배경으로 한 원초적인 에로티시즘 성향 등이 드러난다. 주요 작품으로는 『분녀』, 『산』, 『들』, 『메밀꽃 필 무렵』, 『석류』, 『화분』 등이 있다.
