김경묵 서울에서 태어나 건국대학교에서 사학을 공부하였고, 동대학원에서 서양사를 전공했다. 논문에는 볼셰비키 집권 원인에 관한 고찰, 저서로는 《이야기 러시아사》 등이 있다.
