About the author
시인이자 소설가. 본명은 김해경(金海卿)이다. 1910년에 태어나 1912년 아들이 없던 백부의 집에 장손으로 입양되었고, 백부의 교육열에 힘입어 신명학교, 보성고등보통학교, 경성고등공업학교 건축과를 마쳤다. 이상은 예술적인 재능뿐만 아니라 다양한 분야에서 재능을 발휘한 ‘천재’다. 천재작가 이상은 그의 작품만큼이나 난해한 삶을 살았다. 그의 소설로는 「날개」, 「지주회시(蜘蛛會豕)」, 「동해(童骸)」, 「봉별기(逢別記)」, 「종생기(終生記)」 등이 있다.
