About the author
저자 - 이광수 호는 춘원(春園). 1892년 평안북도 정주(定州) 출생. 1950년 한국전쟁 당시 납북되어 만포(滿浦)에서 병사함. 1917년 한국 최초의 근대 장편 소설 『무정』을 매일신보에 연재하였다. 주요 작품으로는 『무정』을 비롯해 『개척자』,『흙』,『그 여자의 일생』,『이차돈의 사』,『그의 자서전』,『사랑』,『원효대사』, 『유정』 등 수 많은 소설과 수필, 시, 논문, 평론 등이 있으며 계몽주의, 민족주의, 인도주의 작가로 평가받는다. 하지만 일제 시대 그의 친일 행위에 대한 논란은 여전히 계속되고 있다.
