옮긴이 이종구 영문학자. 도쿄 상대 예과와 서울대 문리대를 졸업하였다. 《동아일보》 외신부장과 서울대 교수, 건국대 교수를 역임하였다. 수필집으로 《바람의 질서》가 있으며, 옮긴 책으로 《위대한 개츠비》, 《닥터 지바고》, 《햄릿》, 《리어왕》, 《맥베스》 등이 있다.
