About the author
80년 성균관대학교 산업심리학과 재학중 『무림혈서』로 파란을 일으키며 무협소설계에 데뷔했다. 그후 10여 년 동안 무려 128편의 무협소설을 써냈으니， 작가의 타고난 기(奇)가 엿보인다.독특한 인간상을 통해 무림계를 잘 표현한 그의 작품은 창작 무협의 새 지평을 열었다는 극찬을 받고 있으며， 대표작으로는 『대자객교』『실명대협』『대중원』『제왕성』『대설』등 수많은 작품들이 손꼽힌다.92년 위암과 폐기종으로 생을 짧게 마감했으며， 93년 동료작가들이 그의 시와 산문을 모은 유고집 『나는 죽어서도 새가 되지 못한다』를 발간했다.
