제가 해 오던 우울증 사역은 대부분 알콜중독의 문제를 함께 가지고 있습니다. 그들은 전도가 되어 술을 끊고 우울증이 회복된 것 같아도 교회를 떠나면 다시 과거로 돌아가 버립니다. 다른 교회에서 신앙생활 하는 것도 어려운 사람들입니다. 정말이지 쉽지 않은 사역입니다. 제가 장애인이 된 이유는 2017년에 진단받은 난치성 희귀질환 모야모야병으로 2021년 1월 24일에 축도하고 강단에서 내려오는데 가장 중요한 뇌혈관이 터지면서 심각한 뇌출혈로 응급차를 타고 가던 길에 의식을 잃었습니다. 인하대병원 중환자실에 있는 두 달 동안 사망과 뇌사를 경고할 만큼 심각했지만, 하나님께서 생명을 붙들어 주셔서 1년 6개월 만에 퇴원할 수 있었습니다. 지금은 장애가 있는 몸으로 목회를 하고 있는 제 삶의 이야기를 담았습니다.

2014년 동인천에 개척해서 독거노인, 우울증, 교도소재소자를 대상으로 사역하던 중, 난치성 희귀질환 "모야모야"라는 병으로 2021년에 심각한 뇌출혈이 발생해서 사망과 뇌사의 고비를 넘고 지금은 장애가 있는 몸으로목회를 하고 있는 이현철 목사입니다.
