이상화 시인은 시인이면서도 독립운동가로도 활발한 활동을 하였습니다. 문예지인 백조 동인으로 문단에서 활동을 하지만 아쉽게도 광복이 되기 전인 1943년에 돌아가셨습니다. 살아생전에 광복을 보지는 못했지만 그의 저항시의 대표작인 빼앗긴 들에도 봄은 오는가 는 지금까지도 널리 애송되고 있습니다
