저자 - 계용묵 소설가, 조선일보 출판부에서 근무 출판사 창립 본명은 하태용(河泰鏞) 1904년 평북 선천 출생 1961년 사망 작품세계에 적극적이지 못한 방관자적인 자세가 그의 문학적 특징이자 한계라 할 수 있다. 주요 작품으로는 대표작인 『백치 아다다』를 비롯해 『청춘도』, 『신기루』, 『유앵기』 등의 단편소설과 한 권의 수필집 『상아탑(象牙塔)』이 있다.
