About this ebook
自十九世紀末，九龍半島歷經無數次填海、拆遷、舊區重建，城市風貌不斷改變。1860 年代，英軍修築九龍第一條主要道路——羅便臣道（1909 年易名為彌敦道）。1886 年落成九龍貨倉，並於七十年代重建為海運、星光行及海港城多幢新型大廈。 戰後社會急速發展，現時高鐵站一帶，於1956 年大型污水渠道建成後，包括八文 大廈等多座新高樓陸續落成。1949 年，旺角廣大東方煙廠及花園地段分拆出售，建成十多座包括信和中心等的新廈。石硤尾大火過後， H 型大廈陸續在各區興建。 1931 年，九龍城啟德機場落成，與「三不管」九龍寨城地帶毗鄰，此光怪陸離地段於1994 年全部被清拆。1954 年，政府在新填地上開闢首個衛星城市——觀塘。1972 年海底隧道通車， 1975 年九廣鐵路總站由尖沙咀遷至，紅磡旋即成為重要的交通要衝。及至 2021 年，裕民坊一帶被改建為新型樓宇及商場，基層生活文化逐漸步進歷史。
