內容簡介 《洞燭機先－競爭情報探勘》內容是由兩項分析模型構成，包括：觀展田野調查分析模型、專利佈局解析模型，資策會MIC結合上述兩項分析模型，主要原因在於研究發現科技業者每年於國際大型展覽會、產品發表會或技術發表會展示的新興科技產品，通常會先進行關鍵技術專利申請保護，甚至也有可能已經拿到關鍵技術專利權，因而藉由上述兩項分析模型的執行與回饋，得以洞悉科技業者競逐商機時所布局的技術或應用的變化動向與前因後果。 《洞燭機先－競爭情報探勘》研究歷程，資策會MIC進一步發現，觀展田野調查得以看出科技業者布局新興科技產品的「表象」，而專利布局解析則可以透析科技業者布局新興科技產品的「裡子」，探究「表裡」是否「如一」，則可以用來檢驗科技業者布局的新興科技產品，所採用的技術或推展的應用是否接近商品化階段，是否仍存在技術瓶頸而難以突破，以及是否足以構成殺手級應用而取代主流技術或應用。 因此，建構一套系統化的競爭情報探勘方法論，可有效培養產業洞燭機先判斷能力，進而有效協助科技業者在從事產品規劃、營運規劃、事業規劃、以及投資規劃時掌握具參考價值的產業競爭情報。
