About the author

胡爾泰，本名胡其德，一九五一年生於台灣台南，一九九○年於台灣師大取得文學博士學位。生性好讀書，又好遊山玩水，以「讀萬卷書，行萬里路」為職志。也喜歡舞文弄墨，從二○○○年至今，出版了《翡冷翠的秋晨》、《香格里拉》、《白日集》、《白色的回憶》等詩集，先後於二○○九年和二○一三年獲得教育部文藝創作獎。自一九八八至二○○六年，四次赴歐研究，稍識西方文化精髓。
