然而，政治觀察家指出，習近平推動改革和反腐的真正動機是為了維繫中共執政的命脈。縱觀習近平執政後對紅二代與官二代的區別執政風格，習看來非常熱衷於模仿《教父》中黑手黨教父們風格與手腕。
習近平的改革只是徒具形式，不但未真正碰觸核心體制，在政治上更加緊對意識形態的控制，公民自由更加緊縮，發生社會不安的群體事件比以往大幅增加。
沒有人知道中國將被帶向何方。
