漢鵬以前在學習英文的時候，其實遇到一個大家總是會遇到的問題，那就是，英文的基本單位是單字、字母。但英文單字的數量是相當龐大的，而人的記憶容量是相當有限的，記忘忘記，形成了一種有特徵的記憶曲線；人們往往背好了一些單字，隔天又有層出不窮的單字出來，再背好另一些後，昨天背的那些已經開始忘記了，所以單字常常處於需要一背再背的狀況，個人覺得這種方式相當地沒有效率，也在這個過程中感受到相當的挫敗。
後來，積數十年經驗，結合印歐字源，格林法則等各家學習，總結了一套使用字母之音形來分類及記憶其意義的法門，以供大家學英文的道路上能有所本，變得跟學中文字有部首可以依據一樣的簡單。
