About this ebook
利用App Inventor 2（AI2）提供圖形化的設計理念，可以讓學習者縮短開發手機程式的時間。但是，它在結合「資料庫」方面，卻沒有傳統程式語言方便及功能。例如：AI2 內建的「本機端」微型資料庫（TinyDB）與「網路端」微型資料庫（TinyWebDB）都沒有辦法處理「關聯式資料庫」的強大功能。導致有些專業的資訊人員，轉向學習B4A 或JAVA 來開發手機程式。但是，對於大部份的學習者而言，要能快速學會B4A 或JAVA 是有困難的。
有鑑於此，在本書中筆者將帶領學生學習SQLite 資料庫，其主要的特色：
1. SQLite 是一種可以讓手機App 程式直接讀取的「關聯式資料庫系統」。
2. SQLite 不需要「安裝、設定、啟動」程序，就可以直接與程式整合。
3. 管理者不需要另架設一台「資料庫伺服器」來管理SQLite 資料庫。
4. SQLite 屬於嵌入式的SQL 資料庫引擎，資料庫檔案可以跨平台被使用。
5. SQLite 資料庫檔案相當小，非常適合在行動裝置上使用。
6. SQLite 資料庫屬於開源和免費的關聯式資料庫軟體，非常適合於學校教學。
