嘗聞人生百年，有如隙駒，使泯泯以終，毫無所裨於人物，謂之虛生浪死，君子惜之。
若夫所謂神仙者，既已煉神歸虛，煉形住世，為千萬劫不死之身矣。
使徒駕蒼龍，乘黃鶴，笛嘯海風，棋彈山月，逍遙於無何有之鄉，虛負此千萬年之歲月，不更可惜乎？
必也拯救生民，輔翊世運，體上帝好生之心，闡列祖同源之旨，扶樹道法於無窮，斯可以上玉清，朝金闕，而無愧為真人矣。
昔者純陽呂祖從正陽帝君游，道既成，發願欲度盡億萬劫人而後上升。
故至今飛鸞演化，雖婦人小子，無不知其名號者，而岳陽三醉，邯鄲一枕，士大夫猶艷稱之。
惜余束髮受書，未習元教，竊疑海上三山，與人間隔絕，神仙之說，殆可信而未可信也。
