本名黃連從，台南縣將軍鄉人。1962生，1983年台東師專畢業。2005年國立台東大學語文教育研究所畢業。 2007年由秀威出版《新娘子》、《時間進行式──ing》、《童詩閱讀教學探究──以「在夢裡愛說童話故事的星星」為例》、2009年《許願魚──教室小說工房》。 曾以西牛車、墨明等筆名在《台灣時報》副刊、《中國時報》人間副刊等發表作品。亦曾以黃連從、牧歌、金毛菊等名發表童詩、現代詩、散文、教育影集、教育論文、教育小說。目前任教於國立台東大學附設實驗國民小學。
