劉廣定，民國27年生於上海，美國普渡大學化學博士，英國皇家化學會會士(FRSC)。現為臺灣大學名譽教授。曾獲教育部理科學術獎等多項榮譽。 已發表化學，文史、教育、科技政策等論著數百篇。曾出版《大師的零玉》（秀威、2006年）等書。
