過去為了減低發條盒在滿鍊與動能末端的力量差距，製錶師製造了精密的芝麻鍊傳動系統，能有效達成動力的均等輸出，但往往只用於懷錶與航海鐘。
A. LANGE & S?HNE朗格在1994年推出Tourbillon Pour le M?rite腕錶，不僅將芝麻鍊傳動系統微型化，日後更結合一系列的複雜功能，展現過去天文台航海鐘的精準特性。此外，隨著2007年Lange 31多日鍊腕錶所誕生的恆定動力裝置，更陸續運用在Zeitwerk與Richard Lange系列之中，其搭配的功能、種類之多，堪稱頂級錶廠之冠。
