這是一個早熟的男孩，他生來就被賦予了超能力，能看見人身上的靈光和靈魂。他以為別人也能看到這些，於是常常被誤解、遭到侮辱，日記正是展現了這個男孩的想法、情感和困惑。
的確，在這本書中，我們會看到男孩M有著怎樣的超能力，他除了能看見人身上的靈光和靈魂，還能看見人身上死亡和疾病的顏色，能感應一個人的過去和未來。他也因此成為父母眼中的「怪胎」，不斷受挫，直到遇到家庭教師帕摩先生，才意識到自己的與眾不同。
從此，師生二人在靈學上一起實驗和探索，思考擁有這些超能力的真相，並接受了另外空間高層生命的教導……
