文昌主掌功名祿位 勸人行善陰騭文垂 能行善道自然富貴 勤學積善功名必隨《文昌帝君陰騭文》載，帝君曰：「吾一十七世為士大夫身，未嘗虐民酷吏；救人之難，濟人之急；憫人之孤，容人之過；廣行陰騭，上格蒼穹；人能如我存心，天必錫汝以福。」文昌帝君以其累世修行的經驗，筆之於書，以勸化世人，欲得福報，必須多做善事，廣行陰德，以感動上天。生於世間的人，如果能如帝君在其文所倡言，必然在人間可獲得福報，出人間可成就神仙。
