В августе 1854 года объединенный англо-французский флот вторгся на Балтику и напал на недостроенную русскую крепость Бомарзунд на Аландских островах. Но события, описанные в этой книге, пошли совсем не так, как это было в реальной истории. На помощь гарнизону Бомарзунда пришли боевые корабли Балтийского флота Российской Федерации, попавшие из 2015 года прямиком в XIX век. Десант союзников был разгромлен, и события, последовавшие вслед за этим, пошли совершенно другим путем.
